"Carting Hay", oil on canvas, 1907, was sold at Christie's East in 1988 for $880.  It was listed as painted by J. Gegoux.  This work is a sister painting to Quebec Harvesters, which was painted 10 years earlier.  Gegoux's initial (T) was often done in the form of a script style (T).  As in the later "Sunrise at Castle Rock" Seen here.  Also, the script style (T) is seen in "Carnations On Tiger Maple" which was also done in 1907.  This would have been an easy mistake for Christie's East to make given the scarcity of Gegoux art at auctions.
