This first engraving is an image of the painting "Clair de Lune  --  Château de Maisons-Laffitte"  by Claude-Joseph Vernet (1714 - 1789).  The painting was originally commissioned for the comtesse d'Egmont, it measures 0.44 by 0.61 meters, was signed J. Vernet,  f., and dated in 1759.   Musée du Louvre.

This first engraving is inscribed "dessiné par Foncher" and it measures 13.5 by 10 inches.

This second engraving is an image of the painting "Vue du Château Saint-Ange"  by Claude-Joseph Vernet (1714 - 1789).  This painting was originally one of a pair which were completed in Rome, it measures 0.40 by 0.77 meters, was signed by Joseph Vernet, and dated in 1745.  Musée du Louvre.
